Introductions

I went home yesterday. That is to say, I went back to my parent’s house in Salem. I went into my room, and saw that it was filled with all sorts of things; some strange, some commonplace, some literally rubbish. I’ve cleaned out (most of) the rubbish, but the room is still too small, still too packed in with all these things. I don’t need all these things. It is time to start letting things go.

I tried doing this a few summers ago. I didn’t get very far. Will I get any farther? Probably not; I’ll probably go over the same exact stuff that I did the last time. It was a fun experience, and I don’t think that I’d regret doing it again.

These were the rules that I followed last time, and that I’ll follow this time through. If I can tell a story about a given object, about any specific thing (and it isn’t completely broken), then I’ll keep it. If I can’t come up with a story for it, then kaput! It’s gone!

Lets about work, then.
